In a statement issued Wednesday, August 16 from its Los Angeles office in California, founder and president of JSI, Latif Iddrisu appealed to the ICC to “demonstrate its commitment to the United Nations Article 19 which guarantees the freedom of opinion and expression”.
It also noted that anything short of securing accountability on this matter would amount to a treacherous stab in the chest of press freedom, journalism, and democracy.
