Isaac Kofi Agyei is a highly skilled and accomplished professional in the field of data journalism and analysis. With a passion for uncovering meaningful insights and compellingly presenting them, Isaac has contributed his expertise to various media organizations, cementing his reputation as a trusted data and research analyst. Currently, Isaac holds multiple roles that showcase his versatility and proficiency. He currently serves as a Full-time Data & Research Analyst at JoyNews/FM. In this position, he plays a crucial role in conducting thorough research, analyzing complex data sets, and presenting insights that support the newsroom’s reporting. Isaac’s expertise in data analysis and research methodologies enables him to collaborate effectively with the editorial team, enhancing the quality and accuracy of news content. Simultaneously, he serves as a Data and Research Correspondent for Ghana at SB Morgen Intelligence, one of Nigeria’s leading research consortiums. In this role, he is responsible for gathering and interpreting data specific to Ghana. His in-depth research and insightful reports contribute to SB Morgen Intelligence’s objective of providing valuable intelligence and analysis on various topics in West Africa. Isaac’s skills and knowledge were recognized during the JoyNews/FM Election 2020 coverage, where he served as the Lead Data Analyst. His leadership skills were instrumental in collecting and analyzing election-related data, providing comprehensive reports that contributed to accurate and insightful coverage of the electoral process. He has also a member of the JoyNews and Code for Africa Partnership, specializing in fact-checking for investigative and data stories. With a solid foundation in statistics and economics, Isaac earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ghana. He further honed his skills by completing a Certificate of Achievement in Effective Data Storytelling, offered in collaboration with the Ghana Institute of Journalism, Ghana Statistical Service, and the United Nations Development Programme.
