Chairperson of The Board of Trustees

After a distinguish service as dean of the School of Information and Communications Studies at the University of Ghana, Professor Audrey Sitsofe Gadzekpo comes to Journalist Sanctuary International as Chairperson of the board of trustees with three decades of career experience in academia and excellence in Communications Consultancy. As a former member of the National Media Commission, Professor Audrey Sitsofe Gadzekpo was instrumental in regulating and monitoring activities of media houses in Ghana. As a progressive, Professor Gadzekpo shared her rich experience with the world as keynote speaker at many prominent national and international events. She is passionate about the universal safety of journalists, particularly women in media and politics. Professor Audrey Sitsofe Gadzekpo’s depth of experience in teaching, advocacy, communications, and journalism, will lead JSI to meet the objectives for which it was founded.
